Good News | KKC's chip has passed the automotive grade AEC-Q100 certification

On May 20th, Guangdong KKChips Automotive Electronics Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "KKC") successfully passed the AEC-Q100 Grade1 automotive-grade reliability certification for its high-precision voltage tracking power chip HE115. This is another automotive-grade product that has been successfully validated, after the company's low side driver chip HELS120/HELS120D, which marks the continuous recognition and affirmation of the quality and reliability of KKC's vehicle grade chip products by the authoritative certification system.

HE115 is a high-precision monolithic integration low-voltage differential voltage tracking regulator, packaged with a small exposed solder pad ESOP-8. It can be used for supplying power to external sensors and can work stably and reliably under extreme working conditions in automotive powertrain management systems.

The voltage tracking function of HE115 can maintain the same electrical level/potential between the external sensors of the car and the MCU. It is also equipped with reverse polarity protection, as well as protection functions for short circuits to ground and power, to avoid damage, burning or malfunction of the MCU caused by short circuits to external high voltage or ground.

As a simulation chip, HE115 achieved a successful tape out, taking only 10 months from development to mass production. According to customer sample testing, HE115 can meet the needs of replacing benchmark chips.

In terms of market size, the HE115 high-precision voltage tracking power chip is mainly used in commercial diesel vehicle engine control systems, regional controllers, and new energy vehicle sensors. According to production and sales data released by China Automotive Industry Association, the annual production of commercial vehicles in China is about 450W units, and each commercial vehicle uses four high-precision voltage tracker. The expected market size is 1800Wpcs, with huge potential.

By accelerating the failure rates of analog chip throughout the entire lifecycle, it confirms whether the product data, usage scenarios, functional specifications, etc. of the chip enterprise meet the initial design requirements, and verifies whether the functions and performance meet the initial set requirements after continuous use.
